Matt Kenner’s slick ‘68 Chevy C10 wasn’t always this mean autocrossing machine! He’s owned the truck for 20 years, and it was originally a 6-Cylinder truck, paired to a 3 speed transmission. Kenner has backed up the phrase “built not bought”, as he has pretty much reengineered this pickup from the ground up! Modifications to the chassis include: TCI Engineering suspension, Ridetech coilovers, Wilwood 13"/6 piston brakes in the front, CaptainFab rear disc conversion with 12" centric rotors/Wilwood D52 dual piston calipers in the back, and a 12 bolt rear with an Eaton Posi differential and 3.42:1 gear ratio. The 530 horsepower LS1 wasn’t left untouched either, featuring AFR heads and a custom ground camshaft, and is paired to a custom built 700r4 transmission with a 2800 stall.
Kenner began Autocross in 2013, after realizing that he enjoyed driving the truck way more than just watching it sit at a car show. He loves being behind the wheel, and says that autocross is the perfect way to combine having fun while still letting the truck be pretty, and I have to say that I agree.
