Here are some shots of Will Coates' awesome 1966 Ford F100 Custom Cab. This truck is truly a work of art, and was taken all the way down to the frame, which was blasted and painted matte black. Will and his dad did all of the paint and body work out of their shop (Hunter Body Shop), which also includes the beautiful Caribbean Turquoise and Wimbledon White Axalta two-tone on the body of the pickup. All of the trim, grill and headlight bezels were polished and restored by Carl Bartholomew in Cleveland, and that is one of Will’s favorite parts of 66 Custom Cab. The coffee colored leather and suede interior was done by a friend of theirs, Sammy Freeman, out of his shop, Sam’s Trim Shop. Sammy specializes in hot rod upholstery, and from the looks of his work in this pickup, I can tell he is amazing.
This classic Ford is powered by a 302 that Will built, and is mated to a C4 automatic transmission that his dad built. This truck is sitting on Fatman Fabrications front suspension with rack and pinion, and disc brakes. The rear is stock, but lowered with the hangers moved up and the leaf springs are de-arched. This F100 is rolling on American Racing Salt Flat Specials, 17x8 in the front and 18x9.5 in the back.
