Mr. Trevor Evans’ 1969 Nova! This is one of the sickest Nova builds I’ve seen in a minute, and you can keep up with it on his YouTube channel, Hot Rod Homestead! Little V8 with a turbo will get this car down the strip in a hurry!
Some shots of Promater roll racing at Street Car Takeover in Atlanta! Jimmy Evans is the owner, and a good buddy of mine. This trifive pickup has its place in my heart as my #1 favorite truck of all time with its blown 572 big block and the bicycle in the bed.
Chase Lautenbach’s R35 GTR in Blaze Metallic is definitely a looker! This GTR rolls on Vossen Work Vsw-1 wheels and Nitto tires. Since these pictures, Chase has blacked out the grey on the bottom of the car, and it’s lowered on KW Suspension coilovers!
This V3 CTS-V was one of the cars that I really enjoyed seeing run, and got some pretty sweet photos of in the process. This 807 wheel horsepower monster ran 10.4 in the quarter mile at 136mph. This V was built by Vengeance Racing, and has the Vengeance Stage 5 package, some of which includes mods from himself, Late Model Engine heads, Kooks headers, ported supercharger, and running on e85.
Mike, the owner of this car, was actually a very lucky winner of the Speed Society giveaway in 2020, and raced another winner, Jason Leiva, @stealthzl1 (on Instagram) , in a grudge race at Street Car Takeover, raising a little under $1000 for Children’s Tumor Foundation.
Chris Thomas’ Hellcat Challenger is definitely one of my favorites that I’ve seen. With the fat Mickey Thompson tires on the back, it’s right up my alley! The quickest pass for this Hellcat so far is 8.89 seconds at 156 in +1100 DA (density altitude). Chris originally bought this car and street drove it stock for 2 years, and once he began modifying it, it never stopped! His best memory with the car so far, was at Street Car Takeover in Atlanta in 2020, when he made finals in all 3 classes he entered in, and won the 9.50 index, and finished runner up to his teammate in the Heavyweight and Boost N Juice classes.
Jason Leivas’ 2017 Camaro ZL1 was originally purchased as a replacement to his C6 ZR1, so he could carry his son with him in the back and not mess up the ZR1 with mods. Since purchasing the ZL1, Jason’s goal with the Camaro has changed into always getting quicker and faster, and right now, his car is the fastest street legal 6th generation ZL1 in the country, and it’s less than a tenth of a second from being the quickest 6th generation Camaro overal.
The best ET to date is 8.48 @ 162 MPH, but since then it has trapped a couple MPH higher several times. Jason says that the car absolutely has 8.30’s in it as it sits.
The ZL1 currently has a Late Model Engines 416ci LT4 with a Magnuson 2650R supercharger and standard supporting mods. Most of the driveline components have been upgraded, but Jason has been stuck with an A10 transmission and stock magnetic ride suspension.
